GABRIEL JESUS wants to remain in the Premier League, according to his agent.
In a huge transfer boost for Arsenal, the Manchester City striker, 25, is set to turn down any interest from Europe to continue playing in English football’s top tier.
The Gunners have had positive discussions with Jesus’ representatives over a summer move following City’s acquisition of Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund.
It is understood that City will look for a fee of around £40m-50m for Jesus – who has just one year left on his contract and has refused to commit to the club further.
European heavyweights from Spain, Germany and Italy have enquired about a possible deal.

But SunSport has spoken with the Brazilian’s agents, who revealed they see the Prem as the “NBA of football”.
Jesus’ reps have also previously spoken of their belief in boss Mikel Arteta’s project.
Arteta worked with Jesus during his spell as an assistant to Guardiola at the Etihad from 2016 to 2019.
That relationship could prove key in any potential switch.

Arsenal are the frontrunners to snap the player up and are likely to be unchallenged by any of their league rivals for his signature.
It is also believed that while no formal bid has been made by Arsenal, consultations between the north London club and Jesus’ agents have been constant.
Jesus has been with City since 2017 – becoming a trusted figure under Pep Guardiola but now sees his place in the team slipping away after Haaland’s arrival.

And with out-of-contract Alexandre Lacazette set to leave and Eddie Nketiah stalling on an extension, Jesus is seen as the perfect No.9 replacement at the Emirates.
Jesus has been in fine form this season, scoring 13 goals and providing 12 assists in 39 appearances in all competitions.
