DAVID POCOCK has posted a picture of his broken hand during surgery as it appears to be screwed together to re-join the broken bones.
The Australian Rugby international broke his hand during his national team's 36-20 Rugby Championship win over Argentina.
Pocock said of his surgery: ''Thanks to all the surgeons, doctors and nurses who looked after me at late notice. I am so grateful I have access to world class care.''
Known for his grit and determination the number 8 has proved to be one of the toughest no nonsense players in the game.
Pocock is one of the main figures in the Australian team and his injury will be a huge blow for Michael Cheika's side.

This is the latest injury in a line of recent set backs for the player that has struggled to get a decent run of games under his belt with cruel luck constantly dogging the 28 year old.
Pocock recently missed two tests against England in June as he recovered from a broken eye socket which gives you some indication of how serious the injuries he has been cursed by are.
With a tour of the northern hemisphere coming up Pocock will be eager to return to full fitness before their first game against Wales in Cardiff on November 5 .
