Arsenal loanee Jack Wilshere claims Bournemouth’s Harry Arter is one of the best midfielders he’s ever played with

Cherries midfielder receives high praise from England international

HARRY ARTER has received high praise from Bournemouth midfield partner Jack Wilshere.

The Arsenal loanee who has played alongside the likes of Cesc Fabregas, Steven Gerrard and Samir Nasri says Arter is a match for all of them.

Describing the Ireland international as 'one of the best midfielders I have played with', Wilshere said: "If he wants to, I'm sure he could go onto bigger clubs."

"I have played with some top midfielders but it says a lot about a player when you are not at a big club like Arsenal and you are putting in performances like that.

"But I'm sure he is enjoying his time at Bournemouth - the fans love him, the manager loves him and he's got everyone's respect at the club."

Wilshere was particularly impressed with his team-mate's display against Ross Barkley.

Arter stifled the Everton livewire as the Cherries ran out 1-0 winners at the Vitality Stadium.

"You see with a player like Ross Barkley, Harry didn't give him a second. He didn't let him turn, he didn't let him do his stuff and I'm sure if you ask Ross he will say they are the worst type of players to play against.

"You hate them. You turn and he is there. You think you have beaten him and he comes back at you, so it is horrible to play against."

Wilshere is on loan at Bournemouth until the end of the season, but Chairman Jeff Mostyn believes South Coast side could attract the player on a permanent basis.

"Whether or not we will go beyond a season, I think everything is possible," he told the Soccerex Global Convention in Manchester.
