UFC star McGregor, 33, has spent the last few weeks in the south of France testing out his new Lamborghini superyacht.

Earlier this week he attended the Cannes Film Festival with fiancee Dee Devlin where he posed for a photo with popstar Kylie Minogue.

Ahead of qualifying he met up with Haas star Mick Schumacher - son of legend Michael - before taking to the grid to soak up the adoration of fans.

McGregor was joined in the sun by Chelsea and England star Mason Mount who posed for a photo in front of Max Verstappen's Red Bull car.

The midfielder also took a photo with members of Red Bull's mechanics team as he enjoyed behind-the-scenes access to their garage.

Mount was joined at the race by England team-mate Phil Foden, who shared his enjoyment of the Monaco sights on Instagram.

He was in attendance with Manchester City pal Ruben Diaz days after the pair celebrated another Premier League title win.

And the duo, including Mount, posed for a group photo together with Tottenham pair Eric Dier and Matt Doherty.

Foden shared a couple of pics on social media alongside the caption: "Summer pit stop at the Grand Prix 🏎☀️"

McGregor and the Prem stars were treated to an eventful qualifying session with Charles Leclerc taking pole for the fifth time this year.

The Monte Carlo boy has often been unlucky in his hometown - even crashing Nicki Lauda's 1974 Ferrari earlier this month - but benefitted from a bit of fortune to finish first.

Leclerc had set the fastest time of Q3 when Sergio Perez span out of control and ended up in the barriers with Carlos Sainz colliding into the Red Bull man and causing a blockage on the track.
