Man Utd star James Garner wanted by Leicester and Everton in shock transfer after Nottingham Forest loan
LEICESTER are prepared to battle Everton and other Premier League rivals for Manchester United midfielder James Garner.
New United boss Erik Ten Hag may yet decide that Garner should be part of his Old Trafford revolution.
But Leicester and Everton are the most likely clubs to pounce if the England Under-21 international is allowed to leave the club he joined when he was eight.
Garner, 21, has attracted a number of admirers with his performances on loan for Nottingham Forest.
Southampton and Leeds have also been keeping tabs on him.
But Foxes boss Brendan Rodgers has made it clear that he wants to reinforce his midfield and is believed to have Garner high on his list of potential signings.

Garner and Forest dumped Leicester out of the FA Cup earlier this season with a performance that suggested both player and team had the quality to play regularly in the Premier League.
If United are unable to offer that prospect, then he will not be short of options.
The Red Devils are expecting a mass overhaul of their squad this summer amid the arrival of Ten Hag.
The likes of Paul Pogba, Jesse Lingard, Juan Mata, Edinson Cavani and Nemanja Matic are all set to depart as their contracts are up.

And interim boss Ralf Rangnick confirmed earlier this month they may need as many as EIGHT players to rejuvenate the team.
He said: "In the end football is pretty easy, you just need to win games.
"In order to do that it's obvious with quite a few players whose contracts are expiring we need a number of new players.
"There is already at least something like a number of players that are really top players for this club but as I said we need all the other areas.
"[I] suppose there will be six or eight new players. They should be top players to strengthen the quality of the squad."
