BIG-HEARTED stars from the Rangers women's team scooped a cool £15,500 for charity from their appearance on Tenable.

They came up with all the right answers to scoop the haul for Soccer Aid and UNICEF after compiling an unbeaten league season to scoop the SWPL crown.

But the canny Gers stars actually got their cash by opting AGAINST answering a question on women's international football in the final of - going for questions from an Ed Sheeran category instead.

A five-women team from the Gers joined host Warwick Davis on the programme which aired on Wednesday afternoon.

And the heavy lifting behind the eventual £15,500 tally was done by Rangers skipper Brianna Westrup.

Tasked with naming the English translation for well-known American English words in the penultimate round, California-born Brianna named eight out of ten words, to set the team up for a shot at a £15,500 jackpot prize.

Their task in the final was to name the first 10 words of five or more letters in Sheeran's hit song 'Thinking Out Loud'.

Although only two members of the Gers team remained in touch after just two correct guesses, Westrup and Kirsty Howat salvaged the final round.

Brianna ultimately clinched the jackpot as she made it ten out of ten.

Earlier, in a round where stars had to name Soccer Aid players, Kirsty Howat was unable to identify Celtic-daft Martin Compston from the clue 'plays DI Steve Arnott in Line of Duty'.

She said: 'I've actually watched Line of Duty, but the name - I've got a mind block'.

'Steve Arnott is killing me here'

Having successfully identified the likes of Joe Wicks, Paddy McGuinness, she decided to take her money and a place in the final after a wrong guess on Dermot O'Leary.

"That's so annoying," she said, as the answers were revealed.

Meanwhile, Rangers fans have had a glimpse at what their team's home top for next season will look like - after it was leaked on a website before any official announcement.

The main release for next season has been advertised online via the Rangers Megastore at a price of £64.99, and follow the traditional Rangers colouring scheme with red, white and blue all featured.

However if punters want to quickly rush to buy the kit, they'll be out of luck.

SunSport attempted to go through the process of adding the top to the bag via the website but it was not possible to do so and we received an error message.
