Conor McGregor fans amazed as UFC star’s video shows he’s nearing return from horror broken leg injury
CONOR MCGREGOR has amazed fans as he takes huge steps towards his UFC return by finally kicking with injured leg.
The Dubliner suffered a gruesome broken tibia during his trilogy fight with Dustin Poirier last summer, but has been teasing a return to the octagon ever since.
McGregor had initially set an April return to sparring, however, with that date passing, fans were worried they would not see the former two-weight champion return until 2023.
But McGregor has now posted a video on Instagram of him training kicks with his previously broken leg.
McGregor was not holding back as he went hell-for-leather on the heavy bag, remarking on his exploits: "They were nice, [they felt] good".
McGregor he captioned the video on his Insta: "Something like a phenomenon!"
McGregor's update amazed fans and increased their anticipation for his UFC return.
One fan commented, "His broken leg doesn’t look broken anymore, that’s good, he will be back soon."
Another added: "Yes! The leg is looking strong. This is Conor at his best, with the dynamic kicks."
McGregor has made reference to his post-op 'titanium leg', which he claims he will use to his advantage on his return.

The Dubliner previously said he will use the metal bar as a weapon against his opponents, writing on Twitter : "I cannot wait to wrap this steel bar in my leg across the neck of a future opponent! I am counting down the seconds until I get to launch this weapon."
This is a phrase that has now permeated into his fans lexicon.
One fan said: "Titanium shin bone slinging McGregor!", with another adding: "The titanium shin bone is exactly what he needed."
Despite McGregor's progress, it is looking ever more likely that he will not return until 2023.
UFC President, Dana White, has revealed he already has a name in mind his prized asset's return.
Speaking to TMZ Sport, White named fan-favourite Michael Chandler has his ideal opponent for the Dubliner.
White said: "“I don’t know. I really like [Michael] Chandler vs. Conor after Chandler’s last fight."
"There’s plenty of fights to make. I don’t know if [Masvidal vs. McGregor] is the one, but we’ll see what the landscape looks like when Conor comes back."
