And up until a recent video, which saw him kicking for the first time since the horror injury, most of McGregor's training has been boxing.

In a new clip, he showed off his famed left hand with thudding counter punches as well as sharp right hooks.

McGregor, 33, captioned the post: "Call these Enders."

The former two-weight UFC champion appears to be on holiday having posed on a yacht and enjoying warm weather training.

It comes 11 months since his last fight, when he broke his tibia in defeat to Dustin Poirier.

McGregor, who has a win and loss over Poirier, 33, faced the American for a third time at UFC 264.

But seconds before the end of round one, he suffered the leg break and lost by doctor stoppage.

McGregor has faced several callouts ahead of his return but UFC boss Dana White favours a fight with Michael Chandler, 36.

Meanwhile lightweight champion Charles Oliveira, 32, has also offered to defend his title against the returning Dubliner.

Oliveira told ESPN Brazil: “It would be a very good fight for me.

“It would put a lot of money in my pocket and that’s the most important thing.

“And it would also be really good for my legacy, for me to have in my story.

“Regardless, if he’s coming from defeat or not, he’s a guy who’s made history, so I think it would be great, but it’s not just up to me.

“If it were up to me, this fight would already be happening.

"I have a daughter to raise. Everyone wants to fight Conor, it’s not just me who wants to.
