Watford 2 Bournemouth 2: Isaac Success rescues point as Bournemouth hit woodwork three times

JOSH KING scored just seconds after coming on as Jack Wilshere came within inches of bagging his first Cherries goal

WATFORD'S Isaac Success bagged his first goal for the club and rescued a valuable point in a thrilling second half against Bournemouth.

Callum Wilson gave the visitors the lead against the run of play after 31 minutes but the Hornets improved in the second half and drew level through captain Troy Deeney.

Eddie Howe then brought on Josh King and the super sub took just 60 seconds to deliver by ploughing forward before his deflected shot landed in the net from 25 yards.

But just minutes later, another substitute in Success grabbed an equaliser before Jack Wilshere cracked the post with 20 minutes to play.

Junior Stanislas that clattered a free-kick against the crossbar in an end-to-end second period.

  • Isaac Success scored his first goal for Watford. With a name like that he should get on the score-sheet more.
  • Josh King had been on the pitch less than a minute when he put Bournemouth ahead for the second time in the match.
  • Jack Wilshere hit the woodwork for the second game in a row before being replaced after 73 minutes by Dan Gosling. That's two minutes less than against Everton last weekend. His last full 90minutes is more than two years ago.

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe: "We are disappointed tonight, especially taking the lead twice you think it should be enough. It was end to end and very even but we had the best chances in the game I thought.

"It is a tough place to come but our expectations are growing and we want to push to greater heights."

Watford midfielder Nordin Amrabat: "I think we created more chances than them and deserved to win. They scored two goals that were two little mistakes from us but one point is not bad.
"Isaac (Success) is a young guy and likes to make something. We are happy for him. The goal will give him a lot of confidence."
