Baltimore Ravens star Jaylon Ferguson, 26, found dead ‘with no signs of trauma’ after missing practice days before

NFL star Jaylon Ferguson has been found dead with no signs of trauma, cops confirmed, days after the linebacker missed practice with an injury.

The Baltimore Ravens announced the tragic news on Wednesday via their Twitter page, calling Ferguson, 26, a "respectful young man with an infectious personality."

they do not suspect foul play and added there were no signs of trauma.

The linebacker's death comes after Ravens' head coach John Harbaugh revealed that Ferguson was one of two players that missed practice on Thursday.

“A couple little things you might be looking at from practice: ‘Snoop’ [Tyler Huntley] has a little tendinitis in his shoulder from all the throws, so we just gave him rest the last two days [for] that, so he’ll be fine," Harbaugh told the .

"Jaylon [Ferguson] had an ankle sprain from yesterday – you saw that – so that’s why we held him out. And Nick Boyle just had the day off; it was in his rotation.”

Harbaugh said Ferguson suffered a mild ankle sprain during practice on Wednesday.

The Ravens drafted Ferguson in 2019 out of Louisiana Tech, where he was known as "Sack Daddy".

He holds the NCAA's Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) record for career sacks with 45.

ESPN reports that the six-foot-five player was a third-round pick when he was drafted by the Ravens and had taken part in all of the team's 2022 offseason practices.
