SunSport revealed club owners Fenway Sport Group even began considering to sell the 30-year-old - for £60MILLION - rather than lose him for nothing when his current deal ended next summer.

But after ending his stand-off, Salah posted a snap of himself putting on a Liverpool top as he sat back relaxing in the sun.

The Egypt superstar told : “I feel great and excited to win trophies with the club. It’s a happy day for everyone.

"It takes a little bit of time, I think, to renew, but now everything is done so we just need to focus on what’s next."

Salah has notched 156 goals in 254 games for Liverpool since arriving in 2017.

But after picking up Champions League and Premier League winner's medals in the past two seasons, he saw Manchester City land the top-flight crown for the past two campaigns.

Nonetheless, Salah insists Klopp's squad are still improving - pointing to last term's double of lifting the FA Cup and Carabao Cup.

The ex-Roma hero said: “I think you can see in the last five or six years the team was always going [upwards].

"Last season we were close to winning four, but unfortunately in the last week of the season we lost two trophies.

“I think we are in a good position to fight for everything.

"We have new signings as well. We just need to keep working hard, have a good vision, be positive and go for everything again.”

Salah netted 31 times in 2021-22, again picking up the FWA and PFA player-of-the-year awards.

Meanwhile, it's claimed Juventus could offer France playmaker Adrien Rabiot to the Reds in exchange for either Roberto Firmino or Naby Keita.

Brazil forward Firmino lost his regular place at Liverpool last season to Luis Diaz, while Diogo Jota is also pressing for more starts.

Firmino and Guinea midfielder Keita came off the bench as the Reds lost the Champions League final 1-0 to Real Madrid in May.
