ERIK TEN HAG plans to call on some of the brightest young stars from Manchester United's academy next season.
The new boss is eager to stamp his authority on the inherited squad by pushing the graduates to challenge established first team players.
Some, including midfielder Zidane Iqbal, 19, who made his first-team debut against Young Boys in the Champions League last December, are understood to have already impressed him.
Argentinian winger Alejandro Garnacho, 18, who made two sub appearances last season, has also impressed, along with midfielder Hannibal Mejbri, 19.

The Dutchman has made it clear that he will not tolerate sideways and backwards passing or 'unacceptable' body language.

He has also demanded that all dressing room cliques are eradicated.
These are just some of the first steps being taken in a bid to improve the club.
United are also set to make at least two new additions over the coming weeks.
Dutch left-back Tyrell Malacia is set to become the club's first summer signing in a £13million transfer from Feyenoord.

The 22-year-old was seen arriving at Carrington on Monday morning to finalise the move.
Christian Eriksen is expected to follow after verbally agreeing to join on a three-year deal.
The midfielder is currently a free agent following his departure from Brentford.
But Ten Hag has reportedly managed to lure him to Old Trafford despite interest from former club Tottenham.
While United are finally making some new additions in the transfer window, they also risk losing some key players.
Cristiano Ronaldo recently informed club chiefs that he wants to leave this summer if a satisfactory offer is received.
The Red Devils have insisted that he will remain at the club until his current contract expires next summer, but Bayern Munich and Chelsea are already considering making a bid.
