Man Utd could wait a MONTH before making another Antony transfer move with £65m winger injured

MANCHESTER UNITED could have to wait another month before attempting to sign Antony again, according to reports.

The Brazilian winger, 22, has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford this summer.

New United boss Erik ten Hag is eager to reunite with him following the duo's success with Ajax.

Antony shone under the management of Ten Hag, winning two Eredivisie titles.

And now the Dutchman believes he can help boost the club back to the top of the Premier League table.

However, it could be difficult to complete a deal because the winger is still recovering from an ankle injury he sustained in March.

On top of that, according to Dutch outlet , Ajax are unwilling to sell Antony so they are demanding at least £65million for his services.

Man Utd are said to be reluctant to pay that sum of money, but club chiefs are still considering a future bid.

The Red Devils finally completed their first summer signing this week.

Dutch left-back Tyrell Malacia joined the club in a £13m transfer from Feyenoord.

But United fans are still expecting much more from the club before the start of the Premier League season.

Christian Eriksen is expected to sign on a free transfer in the next few days following his departure from Brentford.

The club have offered him a three-year deal worth around £200,000-a-week but it is now a race against time to complete the move before their pre-season tour kicks off this weekend.

Frenkie de Jong has also emerged as a priority target, however, Barcelona president Joan Laporta has insisted that he is not for sale.
