‘A dream for some, a nightmare for others’ – Flamengo brilliantly announce Vidal transfer with Stranger Things video
FLAMENGO gave Arturo Vidal a bizarre Stranger Things tribute upon announcing his arrival.
Vidal, 35, joined the Brazilian side as a free agent after his contract with Inter Milan expired.
Flamengo found a unique way to make the Chile midfielder's arrival official - with a short video referencing the popular Netflix show Stranger Things.
starts with Vecna's clock ticking in Hawkins, Indiana and then the scene transitions to the Upside Down, which is the sinister parallel universe in which the show's main antagonist resides.
It then issues the following cryptic message: "The time has come. Just a song can save it."
Vidal is then presented as part of the TV show's dark background, which becomes lighter as the club's official anthem starts to play.

Flamengo issued the following caption: "A dream for some, a nightmare for others.
"Upside down? Just the reality: ARTURO VIDAL IS FROM FLAMENGO!
"Welcome to the red-black dream, Vidal! Let's go upstairs!"
That unique introduction of course led to some enthusiastic response from the Flamengo faithful.
One fan replied: "Your dream is our dream."
Another tweeted: "It's a lot of good news together, I love you Flamengo."
And a third posted: "We will lift the Libertadores cup."
Vidal started out at Colo-Colo in his native Chile in 2005 and joined Bayer Leverkusen two years later.

He moved to Juventus in 2011 and that is when his career took off as he won four successive Serie A titles and made the 2015 Champions League Final.
Vidal then join Bayern Munich in 2015 and won three Bundesliga titles in a row.
Three years later the Chilean signed with Barcelona and won LaLiga in 2019.
Vidal joined Inter in 2020 and added the 2021 Serie A title to his trophy collection.
