Manchester United hero Nicky Butt reckons there are more players like Marcus Rashford to come of the Manchester United production line
Nicky Butt has hailed Marcus Rashford as a shining light at the club as the striker continues to blossom with more minutes on the pitch
NICKY BUTT has said that Marcus Rashford is the shining light at the club and is the start of many academy graduates coming through the system at Manchester United.
Rashford burst on to the scene last year and has been tipped to do great things at Man United and for England.
Gareth Southgate decided to include the 18 year old who has been in fine form since making his debut last season in the Premier League.
His rise from the academy came about when then United manager Louis Van Gaal was struggling with an injury ravished sqaud that was having to compete in the Premier League and Europa League.
Rashford is likely to appear in either or both games with some tipping him to be a surprise start in Southgate's first match against Malta.
Butt who now works with the Man United youth teams has said that Rashford's career has started on 'fire' and his football 'speaks for itself'.

''At 18 years of age, to be doing what he's doing – representing England, playing regularly for Manchester United – it's a massive accolade for him and he doesn't need me to big him up''.
''His football speaks for itself, but he's a really good person and someone that we want to be our shining light. He's someone we want to put in front of people and say "this is the kind of people we create in our academy".
''He's respectful, he speaks to the press in the right way, he represents what we believe is right for young players coming through – that's the most important thing for us.''
Rashford seemed to have got his chance at United due to the injuries that were suffered by the first team in a crucial period of the season.
Butt has however insisted that more players will come through just like Rashford but its important to give them time.
''We don't want to rush them through. I think the worst thing you can do is rush kids through''.
'Marcus is probably an exception, he's taken everything on his shoulders and he's moving forward.
''I'm not getting too carried away but some kids you have to be careful with.''
