Luis Suarez on verge of transfer to Uruguay with first club Nacional as fans celebrate his return with masks of striker
DELIGHTED Nacional fans have been celebrating with Luis Suarez face masks as the striker nears a sensational return to the club.
The 35-year-old is a free agent after his contract at Atletico Madrid expired last month.
The Uruguayan has been linked with a host of clubs since, with a recent report claiming that he had been offered to Borussia Dortmund.
A more recent one has stated that Suarez will now not be heading to Germany.
And instead he is set to return to the club in his homeland that he started his professional career at.
claims that Nacional president Jose Fuente flew out to Spain in order to convince the star to come back after 16 years away.

The club were in action last night in the Uruguayan top-flight.
As they romped to a 5-0 win over Cerrito, around 20,000 Suarez face masks were dished out and worn by supporters.
And in anticipation of their new returning hero, in the ninth minute of the game the crowd rose to chant his nickname: “Ole, ole, ole, ole, Lucho, Lucho!”
Suarez left Nacional back in 2006 to move to Holland with Groningen after coming through the youth ranks with Motevideo-based outfit.

He soon joined Ajax and then after five years in the Netherlands he got his big transfer to Liverpool.
He scored 69 goals in 110 matches for the Reds in the Premier League, helping them to lift the League Cup, achieving icon status on the Kop.
After a controversial spell on Merseyside that included a shocking biting incident and an FA ban after being accused of racially abusing Patrice Evra, the call from Barcelona proved too hard to resist in 2014.
