Cristiano Ronaldo rejected by Bayern Munich amid Man Utd transfer exit talks but German side confirm Harry Kane interest

BAYERN MUNICH have confirmed they will not be signing Cristiano Ronaldo this summer but have admitted their interest in Harry Kane.
The wantaway Manchester United striker is desperate to leave the club and Bayern CEO Oliver Kahn confirmed the club did think about signing him.
He told : "We discussed about Cristiano Ronaldo internally - I consider him one of greatest footballers ever.
"Then we came to conclusion that despite appreciation for Cristiano, he would not fit into our philosophy in the current situation."
Bayern Munich are in the market for a centre-forward this summer after Robert Lewandowski made the switch to Barcelona for £42.5million.
The Bundesliga club have had an interest in Tottenham star Harry Kane all summer and Kahn refused to deny claims they are still in for him.

The former Germany goalkeeper said: "I can just say that Harry Kane is an outstanding striker who is now under contract at Tottenham."

Last summer there was interest in Kane from Man City, however a move never happened and the player is reportedly happy to stay in North London for at least this year.

However, Chelsea are reportedly interested in bringing Kane to Stamford Bridge in a sensational move.
Although if Tottenham had to sell the England captain with his contract running down they'd rather hand him to Bayern than their rivals which is good news for Julian Nagelsmann's side.
On the contrary, Ronaldo is trying to engineer a way out of Man Utd with Atletico Madrid keen.
United apparently do not want to sell and speculation suggests the player's agent has told him to renew his contract at the club so he can be rewarded with a loan move in return.
Meanwhile, Bayern may have to turn their attention to another striker and rumours claim they want RB Salzburg's Benjamin Sesko, as do Man Utd.
