Man Utd ‘make contact’ with Fabian Ruiz’s agent as they look to snap up Napoli midfielder in cut-price transfer

MANCHESTER UNITED have expressed an interest in signing Napoli midfielder Fabian Ruiz, according to reports.
The Red Devils have prioritised bringing a new midfielder to Old Trafford this summer following the departure of Paul Pogba.
Barcelona's Frenkie de Jong has been considered a top target since the transfer window opened, however, he has insisted that he does not want to make the move to Old Trafford.
As a result, new United boss Erik ten Hag is now scouting alternative options.
And according to Napoli expert Ciro Venerato, the Red Devils are considering the possibility of signing Ruiz.
He told : "Manchester United made an attempt with Fabian’s entourage."

Venerato also claimed that despite instigating talks with the midfielder's representatives, United have not yet approached Napoli.
The Serie A giants have put a £26m price tag on Ruiz, who has entered the final year of his contract.
So far, the Spaniard has had no intention of signing a new deal so it could be easy for Ten Hag to tempt him to Old Trafford.
However, Arsenal and Newcastle have also expressed an interest.
