Ex-Arsenal flop Yaya Sanogo in talks on free transfer to Moroccan minnows Raja Casablanca after Huddersfield deal ends
FORMER Arsenal flop Yaya Sanogo is close to join Moroccan side Raja Casablanca, according to reports.
claim that the striker is set to make the surprise move after his deal at Huddersfield ended at the end of last season.
The 29-year-old spent all of last season at the Terriers but played just nine games in total failing to score.
He is most remembered for his time at Arsenal as a youngster where he never reached his full potential.
Arsene Wenger signed him after he impressed at Auxerre and Sanogo was even nominated for the Golden Ball Award in 2013.
Sanogo played 20 times for the Gunners scoring one goal that came in the Champions League versus Borussia Dortmund in 2014.

In total he was a Gunners player from 2013 to 2017 but had loan spells at Ajax, Crystal Palace and Charlton.
Eventually he left the Emirates on a permanent deal returning to France to play for Toulouse.
Their manager Pascal Dupraz at the time of his signing said he could become "one of the best attackers of his generation" despite his poor record in England.
His record there was better netting 16 times in 72 matches.

Sanogo's reported transfer to Raja Casablanca would see him join one of Morocco's biggest clubs.
Raja have won the league title on 12 times and the African Champions League three times in their history.
Last season they finished 2nd in the Botola table.
