Jorge of the jungle
Jorginho has scored on three of the last five opening games of the Premier League season for Chelsea now.
It was his goal that settled this game today as the midfielder showed the usual composure attributed to his penalty style.
You can see from his celebration how much it meant to the Italian.
Lampard left pondering his options
While his opposite number jumps on the bus content with the day's work of his side, Frank Lampard will not be sleeping well.
He inherited a side that is not exactly full of goals with the goal of keeping the side in the Premier League.
Lampard achieved that but has not seen further investment into his squad, if anything they have sold one of their key players in the final third.
Fans would be forgiven for worrying where the goals are going to come from this season to prevent another nightmare scenario of a relegation battle once again.
Thomas the frank engine tells all
Thomas Tuchel was heavily critical of his side during their pre-season after two disappointing defeats.
It seemed to have the desired effect as his side won away from home without really setting the world alight.
Three points is what is key to any side on the opening day, or any day, of the Premier League season irrelevant to form.
The German will be pleased by the professional performance his side put in to ensure that they head back to London with all the points today.
FT: Everton 0-1 Chelsea
That's all folks!
The referee brings the game to a close.
Fans got their money's worth today with 20 minutes of time added on.
Everton 0-1 Chelsea
90+10. The only thing more remarkable than the additional time we find at the end of games since the introduction of VAR is the fact that Alan Smith still makes a living as a pundit.
His pearls of wisdom really do beg belief.
Seconds left here now.
Everton 0-1 Chelsea
90+8. Pickford comes out of his area realising he has not shown the home crowd his usual circus antics.
As is the norm, he loses the ball and forces one of his defenders to take a yellow card for him.
Gallagher comes on for Chelsea.
Everton 0-1 Chelsea
90+6. Conor Gallagher watches from the stands.
That may be his mantra this season.
One of the famous Chelsea loanees coming back to double check that the grass most definitely is not greener.
Everton 0-1 Chelsea
90+4. Chelsea will feel they deserve this win.
As a neutral, you could argue a draw would be a fair result.
Neither side have created too much and nothing really separates them.
Well apart from that foul by Doucoure and the subsequent penalty.
Everton 0-1 Chelsea
90+2. Everton fans will be hoping there is enough time to get an equaliser.
The more positive contingent will be hoping there is enough for two goals.
With Dele Alli up front, I am not sure the universe holds that much time.
Everton 0-1 Chelsea

Has anyone else noticed how 'frosted tips' seem to be the rage with footballers this season.
It is like being in Miami in the 1990's.

Confident coming forward and linking up play well with team mates.
Broja is on and works well down the left hand side.

86. So, as we have a break in the game it seems an apt time to tell you about this rule change.
The Premier League realised that there were a lot of these incidents holding games up last season.
From now on, the game only stops when the medical assistance at the club's disposal is required.
It has been addressed and we are back underway here.
Everton 0-1 Chelsea
84. We have a policeman on the pitch.
No it is not a streaker, this is the new directive for this season.
There seems to be a medical emergency in the crowd so the match stops as the incident is addressed.

Cucurella does well down the left and crossers to find Sterling on the penalty spot.
He strikes the ball thinking he has scored but Mykolenko's sliding challenge deflects the ball for a corner.

80. Talking of overspending clubs in transfer windows, Farhad Moshiri will have to contemplate this injury conundrum.
Teams who tend to be in relegation battles are the ones who do not have strikers capable of getting you 15+ goals in a season.
The Toffees fall right into that category right now.
Everton 0-1 Chelsea
78. Alli seems to be playing through the middle for the hosts now.
This seems to be giving Chelsea a relatively easy time at the back.
It has all gone a bit quiet here now.
The home fans need to get an atmosphere going again.
Everton 0-1 Chelsea

What on earth has happened to the player.

The visitors are looking to see this game out now.
Take their three points and go home.

He plays the ball into the box to Dele Alli.
With a first touch akin to a bull in a china shop, the move breaks down.
Everton 0-1 Chelsea
70. If Frank Lampard didn't have bad luck, he would have no luck at all.
Mina comes off with what seems to be a muscle injury.
The player doesn't want to come off but this probably answers why he is a footballer and not a physiotherapist.
Everton 0-1 Chelsea
68. Chelsea are a team in transition according to their new owners.
Having spent more money than the US black ops budget over the last five years this seems a fair comment.
Still 'finding their feet' in the transfer market.
Everton 0-1 Chelsea
66. James has now switched across to the left to fill in for Chilwell while Loftus-Cheek plays right wing back.
If only you had a £65m left-back on the bench.
Absolute madness.
Everton 0-1 Chelsea
64. Chilwell comes off for Loftus Cheek.
Mason Mount comes off for Christian Pulisic.
Tuchel opts for fresh legs for the final half hour or so of the game.
Everton 0-1 Chelsea

All they need now is a time machine to go back to when he was a good player.
Type in 'Pochettino Spurs era' into the keypad, that should do it.
