UFC legend Conor McGregor set to make acting debut alongside Jake Gyllenhaal in Prime Video remake of Road House
CONOR McGREGOR is set to make his acting debut alongside Jake Gyllenhaal in Amazon Prime's remake of 80s action classic Road House.
The Irishman is one of the most iconic entertains in the fight game and is now due to take his talents to the big screen.
Amazon Studies posted: "Fight icon Conor McGregor expands his storied career into film to join Jake Gyllenhaal in the reimagining of the beloved classic, Road House."
McGregor, 34, reposted the news that he will star in the remake of the Patrick Swayze hit.
The plot follows the story of James Dalton, who plays a no-nonsense bouncer tasked with cleaning up a notoriously rough bar.
In Gyllenhaal's remake, the American star plays the role of an ex-UFC fighter turned doorman.

And according to a press release, Gyllenhaal will play the lead character who "takes a job as a bouncer at a rough-and-tumble roadhouse in the Florida Keys, but soon discovers that not everything is what it seems in this tropical paradise".
It is not yet known what role McGregor will play and whether it will be fictional or as himself.
The former two-weight UFC champion is still preparing for his impending return to the octagon.
McGregor suffered a horror leg break in his last fight, in July 2021, against Dustin Porier.

He is closing in on a comeback fight and despite his new movie role, returning to the cage is his No1 priority.
Spokesperson Karen J. Kessler told ESPN: "Conor McGregor is very excited to expand his storied career to Hollywood and join with Jake Gyllenhaal in this reimagining of 'Road House,' a beloved classic.
"While fighting remains his top focus, this is the beginning of another successful venture in the McGregor empire. He is eager to get started filming."
