Former Arsenal star Carl Jenkinson completes permanent transfer to Australian side Newcastle Jets from Nottingham Forest
FORMER Arsenal full-back Carl Jenkinson has officially joined Australian side Newcastle Jets from Nottingham Forest.
The A-League side confirmed the signing of the 30-year-old on a two-year deal.

Jenkinson had been a Forest player since 2019 but made just 15 appearances spending most of his time at the club on the bench or in the treatment room.
He was loaned out last season to another Aussie outfit in Melbourne City where he featured more regularly playing 28 times scoring 3 goals winning the league.
The right-back is looking forward to remaining in Australia, speaking to his new side he : "I’m happy to be here and to sign for the Jets.
"I want to bring the best of myself to the team and try to get the best out of everyone else around me.

Jenkinson is best best remembered by his time at Arsenal where he played 70 times.
The right-back even managed to get a call-up to the England squad and has one international cap to his name.

He went on to have two loan spells at West Ham becoming a regular in their starting XI for two years from 2014 to 2015 before suffering a long-term ACL injury.
The A-League currently has some big names playing in the league with the likes of Daniel Sturridge, Charlie Austin and Nani all 'Down Under'.
Jenkinson will not be the first capped England star to play for the Newcastle Jets after Emile Heskey had a spell at the club before he retired.
