England cricket kid Haseeb Hameed gets dressing down from security chiefs after being late for team bus… because he slept in

KID batsman Haseeb Hameed was squirming with embarrassment – after being late for the bus on his first-ever day with England.

Hameed, the 19-year-old Lancashire opener, held up the convoy to the ground for ten minutes after he overslept in Bangladesh.

He was warned by security chief Reg Dickason that it must never happen again and was ticked off by assistant-coach Paul Farbrace.

But all was forgiven in the end and other players were pulling Hameed’s leg about the incident during England’s practice session.

Hameed was still jet-lagged after spending nights in Abu Dhabi and Dhaka before arriving in Chittagong with the rest of the Test squad on Monday evening.
