Newcastle AGREE £63m transfer for Alexander Isak with Real Sociedad striker to become club’s record signing
NEWCASTLE have agreed a £63MILLION deal for Real Sociedad forward Alexander Isak.
The 22-year-old Swedish international has been heavily linked with a move to Arsenal in the past.
But Newcastle have now agreed a hefty £63m fee with Newcastle for the player.
He has scored 44 goals in 132 appearances for the LaLiga outfit.
The offer is thought to be an initial payment in the region of £59m, with a further £4m in add-ons.
Sociedad will also receive 10 per cent of any future sale of Isak by Newcastle.

The deal smashes the North East oufit’s previous biggest transfer fee – which was £42m for Bruno Guimaraes.
And it means Eddie Howe will have three recognised strikers to choose from up front in Isak, Callum Wilson and Chris Wood.
Newcastle missed out on Hugo Ekitike earlier in the summer as he opted to choose Paris Saint-Germain.
But they have now found one of Europe’s top young strikers instead.

It comes following an impressive start to the new Premier League season – with a win over Nottingham Forest followed up by draws against Brighton and Manchester City.
Meanwhile, Isak’s final game for Sociedad looks set to have been their 4-1 defeat to Barcelona on Sunday evening.
The Spanish side are keen to try and replace him in the final seven days of the transfer window – with Jon Karrikaburu currently their only fit forward.
