Cops probe ‘assault’ on young Dublin woman at party on Conor McGregor’s luxury yacht
A YOUNG woman who claims she was assaulted during a party on UFC fighter Conor McGregor’s luxury yacht has made a complaint to Gardai.
The Irish Sun can reveal the woman, in her 20s and from the Drimnagh area of the capital, made a statement to officers at Sundrive Garda station in Crumlin earlier this month.
According to the woman, she suffered bruising in the alleged assault on the sports star’s triple-deck super yacht when it was in the Balearic islands in Spain.
The alleged incident is believed to have happened on July 17, when held a celebration for his 34th birthday.
The woman’s claims and details of medical appointments have now been sent to Spanish cops in Formentera in the Balearics.
Although the Guardia Civil have already “ruled out that the perpetrator was Conor McGregor himself or that he was even involved in the incident”, an investigation is under way.
One investigator in Spain told us how the woman claims that she was “on her holidays” when she was assaulted “in her swimming dress”.
She then claims she was brought to the shore on a speedboat and immediately contacted the local authorities.
But she said she was left frustrated because the Spanish police could speak “no English”.
We also understand the woman didn’t make a full statement at the time because “she just wanted to go home”.

But after returning home she made the statement to Gardai along with her solicitor.
It’s not clear if the woman intends to pursue any kind of civil action.
The Spanish investigator said: “A woman from Ireland has now officially made a complaint in relation to an alleged assault when she was on Mr McGregor’s yacht.
“Documents have now been sent from Ireland to Spain.
“When the woman was in Spain she didn’t sign anything because she was determined to get home.
“The authorities in Ireland will be assisting their colleagues in Spain in this investigation.”
Gardai have informed the woman her statement and all of the documents relating to her allegation are now with the Spanish authorities.
CCTV EXAMINED
As part of their probe, Spanish officers are examining CCTV from the port at the time of the alleged incident.
It’s not clear if anyone who was on the yacht will be called as a witness.
According to a report in Spanish media yesterday, the alleged victim was examined at a nearby hospital and the medical report showed head trauma.
The star was joined for his 34th birthday celebrations in July by a group of pals. His partner, Dee Devlin, posted images online of herself with the former UFC champ.
McGregor treated guests to cocktails made using his Proper 12 whiskey, while a huge cake with his name on it was also displayed.
The fighter also brought his luxury yachts to the island for the occasion.
His €3.5million Lamborghini Tecnomar 63 — dubbed the “Supercar of the Sea” — hosted some of the celebrations.
As did his triple-deck super yacht, which boasts an inflatable water slide, a climbing wall and a “sea pool”.
