Chelsea transfer news: Batshuayi is going nowhere and will fight for his place at Stamford Bridge

Chelsea new boy Michy Batshuayi has sent out a warning to clubs chasing him in January. The striker will NOT be leaving and is desperate to be a Stamford Bridge hit long term

MICHY BATSHUAYI has told anyone thinking he is keen to leave Chelsea to forget it.

The Belgian striker moved to Stamford Bridge from Marseille in the summer for £33million has been linked with a switch to AC Milan in January and a possible return to his old club on loan.

Batshuayi, 23 is yet to start a Premier League game this term, his only starts have come in the League Cup against Bristol Rovers and Leicester City.

The Belgian has been forced to bide his time in West London due to the return to form of Diego Costa. The Spaniard has been back to his best after last seasons troubles that could have seen Costa return to his former club Atletico Madrid.

Costa has started the season with a bang scoring nine goals in 11 for club and country.

SunSport have been told the young striker is aware of interest in him from other clubs but is focused on making an impact at Stamford Bridge long term.

An insider told SunSport "All the interest in Michy is true, but he doesn't care about that at all. He is going nowhere.Yes he wants more, but he is a competitor and he will fight for his place while learning under a great coach like Antonio Conte" the insider added.

Batshuayi could get his wish this weekend and make his first Premier League start for the Blues. Conte could rotate Costa who already has four bookings and will serve a one-match ban if he sees yellow again before the end of the year.
