ERIK TEN HAG hailed Manchester United’s speedsters as they ended Arsenal’s 100 per cent start to the season.

£85.5million Antony’s strike on his debut, followed by a Marcus Rashford double - his first goals against the Gunners in more than SIX years - sealed United’s fourth successive Prem triumph.

And Ten Hag vowed this is just the start.

The Dutch boss declared: “Antony and Marcus both played great, they were a continual threat.

“Our offensive is really strong - they are creative and have speed.

“This is the first time they have played together and this performance is great to see.”

After two humiliating opening defeats to Brighton and Brentford, United fans are now dreaming of a title tilt.

Ten Hag added: “I’m not thinking we’re there, but we’re on our way in a good direction. We have to keep going.

“We have to keep pushing, the attitude and mentality, set high standards every day, we have to do better, there’s a lot of room for improvement.

“Everyone has to bring their maximum to Carrington. From day one we set high standards.

“We live by those high standards, when you show discipline, you create a winning culture, that is what we have to work for.

“That is my demand, we have many players in the team who have won trophies and they have to bring that standard.

“I understand fans are dreaming, the standards of Manchester United has to be good, we’re at the start of a process, we’re still far away.

“We have to get better if you want to win trophies in the end.”

United were ahead through new boy Antony on 35 minutes before Bukayo Saka levelled on the hour.

But two blistering counter-attack goals from Rashford in the 66th and 75th minutes won the game.

Afterwards Ten Hag said he had not been worried by the league leaders threat up front.

He said: “Not worried, I know our defence can deal with that but they have a lot of creativity.

“We got a setback and we fight back. I like this mentality.

“Arsenal played well but we defended well - I never had the feeling that they'd break us.”

For Rashford it was his first goals against Arsenal since scoring twice against them in February 2016 on his Premier League debut in a 3-2 win.

Rashford said: “It’s been a long time since I scored against Arsenal but I didn’t realise it had been that long until before the game.

“It’s a great feeling. You do miss it as a player. I’m just hoping I can stay fit, healthy and keep putting performances like that.”

The defeat ended Arsenal’s perfect start to the season after five wins to start the campaign.

And manager Mikel Arteta clearly believed that should have been six.

He said: “If we continue playing like that we will win football matches.

“We had a period of 8-10 minutes it took us a while to get in the game and after that is was mostly Arsenal, the way we dominated and the amount of chances we created.

“The team reacted and I said at half-time the game was there for the taking if we play with courage, we did, we could have scored another two or three – but you have to kill the game, we gave the ball away in a dangerous area and against them it is killing you.

“We stepped in and they took advantage of that, it is really disappointing because for these boys to play the way they did here, big credit to them but we need a better result.

“We have to learn that you need to have so much discipline in these games, any detail they are going to materialise because they have world class players all over the pitch.”
