France star Ousmane Dembele has no idea how Nations League works and jokes teams end up playing for ‘holidays’
OUSMANE DEMBELE has admitted even he doesn’t know how the Nations League works.
France currently sit bottom of Group A1 in this season’s competition.
shared a video in which team-mate Antoine Griezmann asked him if he knew the rules of the tournament.
The French international, 25, laughed and shook his head.
Dembele answered: “The coach said but I don’t understand anything.
“There are three teams in a group – what is that. One gets promoted, one gets relegated. The second team plays for nothing, for holidays.”

It is unknown when the footage was shot, but he presumably knows there are now four teams in each group.
England – who are also bottom of their group – cannot qualify for Nations League Finals and will get a “holiday” next June.
The Barcelona winger was heavily linked with a move to the Premier League this summer.
But he eventually killed off Chelsea transfer talk when he signed a whopping new deal at the Nou Camp.
