ARSENAL were reportedly left frustrated late in the transfer window due to their move for Pedro Neto being scuppered by Nottingham Forest.
The Gunners wanted to bring in Neto to add some more firepower to their squad.
However, the move collapsed when Wolves upped the price of the winger following the departure of Morgan Gibbs-White.
Gibbs-White was sold to Forest for a fee which could reach £42.5million, but this will require all the add-ons in the deal to be met, with the upfront fee just £25m.
According to , this move left Arsenal 'alarmed' as they knew Wolves may up their asking price for Neto.
And that is exactly what happened, as Wolves demanded £50m for the 22-year-old which was more than what Arsenal were willing to pay.

Ultimately, Arsenal failed to add any more signings to their squad despite also making three bids to try and sign Douglas Luiz from Aston Villa.
Meanwhile, Nottingham Forest added a staggering 21 players to their squad as they rebuilt Steve Cooper's team practically from scratch.
Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis sanctioned a spending spree for the ages, as the two-time European Champions splashed out more than European heavyweights Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid and Barcelona.
In fact, the more than £150m they spent this summer was more than the rest of the club's entire 157-year history put together.
