PSV starlet Cody Gakpo stuns Man Utd fans with incredible stats as after Erik ten Hag misses out on in-form forward
CODY GAKPO is showing Manchester United what they are missing out on after Erik ten Hag's failed transfer pursuit of the star.
The PSV Eindhoven winger was at the centre of a summer chase with United among the interest clubs.
Premier League rivals Arsenal, Southampton and Leeds also tried to land the 23-year-old.
But all four clubs failed and he remained at PSV - at least until January.
And he is proving exactly why so many teams are desperate to sign him with some incredible stats this season.
Gakpo has started all 12 matches in the 2022-23 campaign for PSV so far this term, playing a total of 962 minutes.

He already has nine goals and six assists in all competitions, including seven goals in just six Eredivisie games.
That works out as a goal involvement every 64 minutes.
On top of that, the Netherlands star has created 39 chances already, with nine of those classed as "big" chances.
And those standout numbers have got United fans lamenting missing out on the seven-cap international.

Gakpo took a swipe at Manchester United when the summer transfer failed as they deliberated over going for him if the Antony deal fell through.
The Dutch ace revealed he was ready to make the switch to Old Trafford but then was let down.
He said: "At the beginning of the window United had reported ‘very calmly’. We were waiting for that.
“It was getting closer and the signals were getting more positive.

“It was all last minute for me, because until last week I thought I was going to Manchester.
“Then it was choose another club and decide whether I wanted to go there. That is not nice for PSV and also not for me, because it felt rushed.”
