For goalkeepers, there's one iconic signature move that stands above all of the rest.

That honour belongs to Rene Higuita, the former Colombia goalkeeper who performed his absolutely outrageous 'Scorpion Kick' against England at Wembley in 1995.

The move that saw Higuita inexplicably deal with a goal bound Jamie Redknapp weak effort by diving forward with his hands on the ground, before lunging his heels forward and firing the ball away, instead of simply catching the ball.

The move got its name due to the player's resemblance to a scorpion's tail while performing it.

Certainly not your conventional goalkeeping and the commentator's reaction of "have you ever seen anything like that in your life from a goalkeeper" was certainly warranted.

Perhaps not surprisingly, it's a move rarely - well, never - seen in football due to its high-risk and quite frankly bonkers nature.

But one SPFL goalkeeper has brought it back and in some style!

Raith Rovers' cameras were on hand to capture the moment their number one Jamie MacDonald executed the Scorpion King in expert fashion in training.

Mirroring Higuita's manoeuvre from all those years ago, the former Hearts and Kilmarnock goalie fires the ball away with his heels in almost identical fashion to the Colombian legend.

Granted, it's just during a training session but it's still impressive to see the move once again!

It's unlikely, however, that we'll see him trying this any time soon in Championship action.
