CHELSEA came out 3-0 victors against AC Milan at Stamford Bridge in what was a must-win game for Graham Potter's side.

The Blues started brilliantly, with Wesley Fofana netting his first goal for the club on his Champions League debut.

However, he went from high to low as just moments later the defender picked up what looked to be a knee injury as he was taken off.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang doubled the Blues' lead in the second-half, scoring from a Reece James cross before the wing-back himself sealed the three points with a powerful finish to give Potter his first European victory.

Trevoh Chalobah tries the spectacular with a bicycle kick from the edge of the box, but it floats seemingly out of the stadium and onto the Kings Road.

Silva is bought down by Olivier Giroud, with a painful one on the collarbone, but he is up and continues.

  • 49. Chelsea 1-0 AC Milan.

Rafael Leao needs to be more involved this half if AC Milan are going to get something out of this game.

The young Portuguese star showed his excellence in patches in the first half, but was not as involved as he would have liked to be on the left hand side.

Reece James drives down the right hand side, but is fouled by Fikayo Tomori and Chelsea have a free-kick.

  • 46. Chelsea 1-0 AC Milan.

Back underway here at Stamford Bridge.

Sterling does a nice give and go with Mason Mount, but the ball just doesn't fall for him right to get a shot on goal.

  • HT. Chelsea 1-0 AC Milan.

Chelsea will be counting their blessings that they go into half-time at 1-0 up after that huge late chance for AC Milan, but the referee calls the first half to a close.

It is Wesley Fofana's goal that separates the two teams at the break, but the Frenchman had to go off with an injury midway through the first half.

  • 45+4. Chelsea 1-0 AC Milan.

    That should be 1-1!

Amazing run into the box from Rafael Leao, he squares it to De Ketelaere who's shot is parried out by Kepa.

The follow up is then blazed over the bar by Krunic!

He should have finished that one.

  • 45+2. Chelsea 1-0 AC Milan.

A chance for two for Chelsea!

Sterling races through on goal, but the ball just falls awkwardly after his touch.

He looks to square it to Mason Mount, but the pressure from Tonali and Tomori proves too much as they win the ball back.

  • 45. Chelsea 1-0 AC Milan.

Well no attempts so far for Milan in the first half, which has been dominated by The Blues, but they will have to remain disciplined in the second half.

Sterling turns, and accelerates away from Bennacer, the Algerian has no option but to bring him down, and Tomori gets AC Milan's third yellow card of the game, for protesting against the referee.

  • 41. Chelsea 1-0 AC Milan.

Rafael Leao does not want to track the run of Reece James on that right hand side, as he drives through and gets a cross in after working well with Raheem Sterling.

The cross is cleared, but Chelsea look particularly strong down that side, Balo Toure has got his work cut out on a yellow card.

Yellow card for Mateo Kovacic for a late challenge on Olivier Giroud, his ex-teammate of course...

    Chelsea score, but it's offside!

Well, that was a beautiful finish from Mason Mount, but he is just offside from Aubameyang's pass.

Fofana is down and receiving treatment, but he looks to be up and okay after scoring his first goal for The Blues.

  • 30. Chelsea 1-0 AC Milan.

Great interception by Fofana, who drives forwards into the AC Milan half, but he is dragged down by Rafael Leao.

  • 28. Chelsea 1-0 AC Milan.

Kovacic intercepts really well, and the Croatian has been excellent tonight.

He looks up for Aubameyang, but his pass is intercepted by Tonali.

James whips a great ball into Mason Mount who strikes the ball hard and low, but it is really well blocked by Kalulu.

  • 26. Chelsea 1-0 AC Milan.

Well, it's four deliveries into the box from Chelsea that have ALL been met by the head of Thiago Silva.

Bennacer cannot get near the Brazilian in the box, who wins the header once more from a Ben Chilwell corner.

There is a scuffle as the ball bounces around in the middle of the box, but it is rolled into the bottom right corner from Wesley Fofana, who gets his first goal for Chelsea.

  • 24. Chelsea 1-0 AC Milan.

Goal for Chelsea! It's a first goal for Wesley Fofana!

  • 24. Chelsea 0-0 AC Milan.

Great effort by Thiago Silva, but a great save from Tatarusanu!

Silva wins the header from the free kick, and forces a corner.

The corner again meets Silva's head, who wins another corner!

  • 22. Chelsea 0-0 AC Milan.

Bennacer is playing around with the ball at the back and gets dispossessed.

Chelsea try a few crosses with James and Sterling, but neither of them result in a shot on target.

Balo Toure gives away a free kick on the right hand side after a handball.

  • 20. Chelsea 0-0 AC Milan.

Quality sliding tackle from Thiago Silva on Rafael Leao.

If that goes past him, then Chelsea are in trouble, but the Brazilian expert times it perfectly.

"Oooh Thiago Silva" rings around Stamford Bridge.

  • 18. Chelsea 0-0 AC Milan.

James whips a cross in towards Aubameyang which is headed away, before Mason Mount slips whilst trying to keep the ball in play.

  • 16. Chelsea 0-0 AC Milan.

Tomori can't quite keep the ball in play and it goes out for a Chelsea throw.

It must be noted that Kalulu and Tomori keep switching sides at the back for Milan, whether that is a good thing or not we will wait and see...

  • 14. Chelsea 0-0 AC Milan.

Milan have had 58% possession so far in this one, as Balo Toure goes in late on Reece James who demonstrates his excellent chest control.

Toure is the second AC Milan player to go into the book after just 15 minutes.

  • 12. Chelsea 0-0 AC Milan.

Kovacic looks long for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, but Tomori sees it out for a goal kick.

Chelsea are looking to press high so far, but Milan look very dangerous on the counter.

  • 10. Chelsea 0-0 AC Milan.

Rafael Leao drives past Wesley Fofana, but just trips over himself which allows Fofana to tackle him in the box.

Well done by the young Frenchman, but Leao looks very dangerous, and it is easy to see why he is so highly valued across Europe.

  • 8. Chelsea 0-0 AC Milan.

De Ketelaere looks for the run of Rafael Leao, but the communication breaks down and Chelsea counter with Ruben Loftus Cheek.

He is sliced down by Krunic, and the AC Milan man is given a yellow card.
