Shakira and Gerard Pique keep awkward distance as they cheer on son Milan, 9, at baseball game after pair’s bitter split
POP STAR Shakira and footballer ex-boyfriend Gerard Pique sat at a safe distance as they watched their son play baseball.
The celebrity former couple headed separately to the Spanish city of Valencia to cheer on nine-year-old Milan.
Barcelona defender Pique, 35, and Shakira split back in June after 12 years together following reports from Spanish press that the footy ace had been unfaithful to the Hips Don't Lie singer.
For the sake of Milan and their other son Sasha, seven, it's claimed the pair are trying to stay friends.
Yet they decided to sit awkwardly away from each other as they watched Milan in action.
Shakira, 45, donned a stylish denim jacket and white bucket hat for the game.

Pique meanwhile wore a T-shirt bearing the name of Milan's baseball team, plus a pair of sunglasses and a white cap as he tried to stay lowkey.
The pair have now been spotted watching Milan play baseball three times since splitting.
And on all three occasions the former couple have kept their distance from each other and sat apart.
This time youngest son Sasha was snapped on Shakira's lap and wrapping his arms around Pique's shoulders.

While the ex-couple stayed apart, the youngster went from one to the other in the stands with big brother Milan was in action.
Hitmaker Shakira has recently opened up about her break-up with World Cup winning defender Pique.
In the aftermath of their split Shakira has spoke about their children being her "medicine" and said writing music is like her "therapy" during her "darkest times".
They first met in 2010 while filming the music video for her World Cup song Waka Waka and got together soon after, but never married.
Pique wasted no time in moving on and began dating 23-year-old PR student Clara Chia Marti in August, as exclusively revealed by SunSport.
His former Spain team-mate, Iker Casillas, furiously denied he had began dating Shakira last month.
Shakira headed to watch son Milan in action just days after it emerged she faces legal woes over a £13m tax fraud case.

She was accused on September 29th of defrauding the Spanish treasury out of millions over a three-year period when she claimed she wasn't resident in Spain.
Shakira has denied the six different charges, but faces up to eight years in prison if found guilty.
