Diego Costa given standing ovation by Chelsea fans as former star is hooked less than 60 minutes into Wolves clash

DIEGO COSTA was given a standing ovation by the Chelsea faithful on his return to Stamford Bridge.
The 34-year-old, who won two Premier League titles with the Blues, headed back to his former stomping ground with new side Wolves.
Costa was named in the Wolves starting line up for the first time ahead of kick off at Stamford Bridge.
After scoring 59 goals in 120 games for Chelsea, the striker fired a blank on his return to London.
A frustrating afternoon saw Costa subbed off on 57 minutes.
And the forward took the long way round as he slowly made his way off the pitch from the opposite side of the stadium to the dugouts.

Stamford Bridge rose as one to give Costa a standing ovation as he walked around the side of the pitch and back to the Wolves bench.
Costa himself gladly returned the applause and waved to the fans he endeared himself so much to during his spell at the club.
Fans on social media loved the heartwarming moment between Costa and the Blues faithful.
One supporter wrote: "Love Costa getting a cheer from the Chelsea crowd as he gets subbed off."

On the pitch Kai Havertz headed Chelsea ahead on the stroke of half-time after a first period dominated by the hosts.
Christian Pulisic then made it 2-0 nine minutes after the break, dinking the ball over Jose Sa with his left foot after an excellent Mason Mount pass.
