The 35-year-old Argentine has re-discovered some of his best form for Paris Saint-Germain since the start of the new campaign, contributing 12 goals and 13 assists in 17 matches.

But reports have emerged suggesting he is still set to leave the French champions in the summer, with Inter Miami the frontrunners to snap him up when he becomes a free agent.

If Messi was to join David Beckham‘s American outfit, he would join several famous stars.

The Barcelona legend could be set for a reunion with Spanish central midfielder Sergio Busquets as he is thought to be interested in a move to the MLS outfit.

And Inter Miami may also line up with a couple of familiar names down their right side.

Coached by former Manchester United and Everton defender Phil Neville, his son Harvey made his debut for the club recently as a right-back.

And ahead of him could come Beckham’s son Romeo – who has made a host of appearances for Miami’s second team.

The MLS franchise finished sixth out of 14 Eastern Conference teams in the 2022 campaign.
