Dump Ballance?

YORKSHIRE leftie Gary Ballance scored one and nine in the First Test and he has racked up just one 50 since his recall in the summer.

England’s selectors could be tempted to pick white-ball king Jos Buttler instead.

Protect Stokes?

ENGLAND’S most prized asset always gives 100 per cent and has no self-preservation instinct.

The big worry for skipper Alastair Cook is whether Durham all-rounder Ben Stokes will be injured or exhausted before the tour is over.

Give Hameed is debut?

RISING star Haseeb Hameed is seen by many as England’s long-term opener.

The 19-year-old Lancashire lad could be sent in first with Cook for the Second Test, allowing Northamptonshire’s Ben Duckett to drop to No 4.

Rotate seamers?

JAKE BALL and Steven Finn will probably both be needed before Christmas, so should they get the chance to play now?

Chris Woakes and Stuart Broad could be omitted when the Second Test starts on Friday.

Pick a left-arm spinner?

ZAFAR ANSARI impressed in the warm-up match and could come in for Adil Rashid or his Surrey team-mate Gareth Batty.

That would be useful experience for the left-arm spinner, 24, in case he is required in India.
