The Barca wonderkid reportedly broke down in tears upon hearing he had been selected in the final 26-man squad.

And his family gave him a hero's welcome when he returned home, singing and dancing as he arrived before hugging and congratulating the forward on his call-up.

Fati has just four caps to his name and is somewhat of a surprise inclusion given he has not played for Spain since 2020.

But he has finally been able to feature regularly for Barcelona by staying injury-free and after recording three goals and three assists for the LaLiga leaders Luis Enrique clearly believes he could make a difference at the World Cup.
