BEST Agent of the year Jorge Mendes will be busy in the New Year as his top client Cristiano Ronaldo is facing a hasty exit from Manchester United.
Mendes, 56, won the 2022 Globe Soccer Award for Best Agent of the year.
And he may have to start 2023 with a bang by engineering a move away from Man Utd for Ronaldo.
Mendes failed in his attempts to secure Ronaldo a move away from Old Trafford in the summer.
But may get a second bite of the cherry with United wanting to rip up Ronaldo's contract following his bombshell sit-down interview with SunSport columnist and TalkTV main man Piers Morgan.
A club statement has now not only seemed to confirm that but left the door open to further action against the player.

United have reportedly instructed Ronaldo not to return to Carrington once he gets back from the World Cup.
The statement read: "Manchester United has this morning initiated appropriate steps in response to Cristiano Ronaldo’s recent media interview.
"We will not be making further comment until this process reaches its conclusion.’
Ronaldo slammed the club and revealed he does not respect manager Erik ten Hag in the 90-minute interview.

In the first half of the interview which aired on Wednesday Ronaldo described his shock at the club's stagnation since Sir Alex Ferguson's departure in 2013.
He also spoke of his surprise at the club appointing Ralf Rangnick on an interim basis - revealing he had never even heard of the German.
Ronaldo went on to criticise the Glazers and accused the American owners of not caring about the club.
He said: "The Glazers, they don’t — they don’t care about, about the club. I mean, professional sport.
“As you know this, Manchester is a marketing club. They will get its money from the marketing, the sport, it’s . . . they don’t really care, in my opinion.”
Asked: “Do you ever talk to them, the Glazers?”, Ronaldo replied “Never. No. They give all the power to the president, sporting director.”
Two GOATS one team
Globe Soccer Award's might as well crown Mendes as the 2023 agent of the year if he secures Ronaldo a move to Paris Saint-Germain.
Mendes would've played a pivotal role in seeing Ronaldo link-up ON THE SAME TEAM as long-time rival Lionel Messi.
And Ronaldo is open to the move, telling Piers: "It's... everything is possible in football.
"Why not? For sure. They will sell a lot of shirts."
It is a dream partnership. The pair have won the Ballon d'Or TWELVE times between them.
And Ronaldo showered Messi with compliments in his interview.
He added: "Amazing. Player is magic - top.
"As a person, we share the stage 16 years, imagine, 16 years. We share.
"I have great relationship with him. I'm not friend of him in terms of what I mean friend is, the guy who was with you in your house. Speaking of phone. No, but he’s like a team-mate.
"It’s a guy that I really respect, the way he always speaks about me.

"Even his wife or my wife, my girlfriend, they always respect and they're from Argentina. My girlfriend is from Argentina.
"So good. What I am going to say about Messi? Great things. He’s a great guy who does everything for football."
