The players even could even land huge individual pots with victory on Qatar.

Along with their winners medals, England stars will bag individual pots of £500k each in win bonuses, according to the .

This is a huge increase from the last World Cup in 2018, when England got to the semi-finals in Russia, and the players stood to earn £215,000.

In total, incentives total as much as £13m after the FA more than doubled the size of the players’ bonus pot from the 2018 World Cup.

As Sunsport revealed last month, the manager Gareth Southgate meanwhile will collect a £3m bonus if he followed in Alf Ramsey's footsteps and made England World Champions.

This would come on top of the ex-Middlesbrough boss's £3m wages.

The big hike in bonuses pulls England closer to their international rivals who offered far bigger win bonuses than the Three Lions in 2018.

England's prize pot is now similar to Germany and Belgium, while Brazil offer the biggest money motivation.

England are in action a day later with the other big beasts beginning their tournaments after.

According to Betfair, Brazil, France and Argentina are the favourites for the tournament.
