Switzerland team bus crashes into POLICE CAR en route to World Cup clash with Brazil – but match still starts on time

SWITZERLAND'S team bus CRASHED into a police car on the way to their game against Brazil.

Footage emerged of the bus heading to the ground with the police escort in front of them.

And it showed the team coach bumping into the back of the police vehicle as traffic slowed down.

There were not thought to be any injuries to players or staff following the accident en route to Stadium 974.

And, despite the chaotic scene, the match still started as scheduled with Murat Yakin's side arriving with enough time to spare ahead of the 7pm kick-off [local time].

Switzerland come into the clash with Brazil off the back of a 1-0 win over Cameroon.

They are not expected to get anything from the clash with the five-time world champions, but could produce a huge shock with a win on Monday evening.

Brazil began their World Cup campaign with a 2-0 victory over Serbia.

Tottenham star Richarlison bagged a superb brace in the opener, including a breathtaking overhead kick to secure the three points.

Tite's men are attempting to end the country's 20-year wait for a sixth World Cup trophy.

But they will have to do so - for the time being - without talisman Neymar.

The Paris Saint-Germain forward, 30, sustained ligament damage in his right ankle during the win over Serbia.

And he is set to miss the remainder of the group, but hopes to recover in time for the knockout stages.
