Jamie Carragher shows why he is the king of Twitter yet again with hilarious dig at Jose Mourinho

JAMIE CARRAGHER is making quite a name for himself for his outspoken social media views - and he displayed why he is the new king of Twitter again with a hilarious take down of Jose Mourinho.

He has taken on former England team-mate Rio Ferdinand, former Liverpool flop Mario Balotelli, the Reds' cross-town rivals Everton - and now he stopped old adversary Phil Neville in his tracks.

After P-Nev's old club United beat bitter rivals Manchester City last night, he posted a sign saying: "Manchester is red".

Swift as you like, just three minutes later, Anfield legend Carragher, who usually spars on TV and Twitter with Phil's older brother Gary, piled in with a cutting reply alluding to the Special One's unwillingness to live in Manchester - which he called a "disaster".

He realised that the fact unhappy Mourinho STILL lives in a hotel months after his appointment as United boss gave him a perfect chance to respond, as he wrote: "And Jose still won't live there."

The retweets piled in, and in fairness to former Valencia assistant, he did reply, suggesting to football reporter Ian McGarry that Carragher could move in with Gary, to make the perfect odd couple.

The online banter came after Carragher wound Neville up in the Sky studio after last night's game. He  suggested it was unthinkable that anyone like Mourinho would want to move to Manchester from London.

Despite Juan Mata's goal giving Mourinho some respite as he tries to avoid a crisis at Old Trafford, his problems mounted this morning after being charged for comments he made regarding referee Anthony Taylor in the build-up to the Premier League match with Liverpool earlier this month.

Taylor lives close to Old Trafford and the Manchester United boss raised questions as to whether he would be able to officiate properly before the drab draw.

Comments pre-match about officials is frowned upon by the FA and the Portuguese could now face a touchline ban.
