Kick-off: Morocco vs Spain
We are underway at the Education City Stadium.
It feels like we are in Rabat today.
Spain get this last 16 tie started.
Lions set to re-write history
Walid Regragui's side are looking to match continental history today.
Their four-game unbeaten run at the World Cup can only be beaten by Cameroon.
They went five games unbeaten between 1982 and 1990 to give them the best undefeated run of an African side at the tournament.
Lions riding the crest of a wave
Morocco are now on an eight-game unbeaten run in all competitions.
During which they have conceded only two goals.
Regragui's men are to become the first Morocco side to reach the quarter-finals.
In, out, shake it all about
Many an argument was had over whether Mitoma had prevented the whole of the ball from going over the line.
Shots from all angles were shown and depending on the camera angle, the view changed with the inidividual.
The scoreline was the only statistic that mattered, as Spain dropped to second in Group E and only bested Germany on goal difference.
Gaffer points fingers at players
Luis Enrique did not pull any punches as his side failed to hang on to a one-goal lead against Japan in the final matchday in Group E.
Alvaro Morata's 11th minute opener ultimately counted for very little against Japan.
Unai Simon let a long-range effort from Ritsu Doan slip through his gloves as Japan restored parity three minutes later, Ao Tanaka prodded home the winner after Kaoru Mitoma had only managed to keep the ball in play.
Atlas Lions playing for a continent
Even in their goalless draw with Croatia, the plaudits largely went to Walid Regragui's men, who followed that up with successive wins over Belgium and Canada to become one of only two African teams in the last 16 of the World Cup.
The other team to achieve this feat, Senegal, were knocked out of the competition on Sunday by England.
Now, Morocco have an entire African continent rooting for them.
Morocco surprising all in Qatar
Walid Regragui's side have fended off Croatia and Belgium to finish top in Group F.
With the golden generation of Belgium under-performing and 2018 runners-up Croatia struggling to find a consistent attacking spark, Morocco took full advantage to claim a surprising first-placed finish in Group F with seven points from a possible nine.
La Roja would be well served to fear the Atlas Lions.

La Roja looking to roll back years
It wasn’t so long ago that Spain dominated football on the big stage.
They were European champions and the holders of the World Cup.
Since then they have endured some bleak times but with the emergence of a crop of young talent, they fancy their chances to re-establish themselves in Qatar.
