Barcelona players mocked by Valencia youth team for reaction to Mestalla bottle incident
New video shows Valencia youngsters recreating the moment when Barcelona's players were hit with a bottle after scoring a last minute winner at the Mestalla
THERE were unfortunate scenes at the Mestalla a week ago when Barcelona scored a last-minute winner against Valencia.
After Lionel Messi's penalty, the Barcelona players celebrated provocatively in front of the Valencia 'ultras' and were pelted with bottles for their troubles.
However some thought the Barca players had gone down a little too easily.
Especially Neymar, who seemed to forget the difference between going to ground in a match and getting a free kick, and going to ground in front of hardcore Valencia fans rather than getting away from them as soon as possible.
And this week, the Valencia youth team decided to get in on the act with a cheeky video mocking the Catalan stars.
Valencia have since been fined for the bottle-throwing incident despite the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) describing the Barcelona players as 'blameworthy'.
The RFEF also stated: "It also must be noted that reaction of certain members of the aforementioned football club simulated injury without having the bottle actually impact on their person."
Valencia had looked set to earn an impressive draw before Aymen Abdennour brought down Luis Suarez in the box in the last minute of stoppage time.
