KENNY DALGLISH honoured Gary Player on his 81st birthday with a gruelling sit-up session.

The Liverpool legend claims to have completed 81 sit-ups in a post on his Twitter account.

The stunt was a nod to Player's claim that his rigorous fitness regime was the reason behind his success on the golf course. The South African says he still performs over 1,000 sit-ups a day.
