Floyd Mayweather vs Aaron Chalmers LIVE RESULT: Lively fight goes the DISTANCE at the O2 – latest

FLOYD MAYWEATHER and Aaron Chalmers went all eight rounds in a lively exhibition fight.

Mayweather caught the ex-Geordie Shore star with his trademark shots over the bout, but Chalmers stuck in, finished strongly and smiled back at Money Mayweather.

As it was an exhibition, both men's hands were raised with no official winner.

The undercard was delayed for half an hour at a virtually empty O2 Arena.

But the Saudi Arabia atmosphere is expected to be the complete opposite when Jake Paul takes on Tommy Fury.

Boxing fans are outraged after shelling out to watch a "robbery" fight between Floyd Mayweather and Aaron Chalmers.

Fans were shocked at the level of boxing on show, with 50-0 Mayweather dancing in between punches at times.

He also danced with the ring girls between rounds and some spectators felt the whole event was a farce.

Some complained they paid to watch the fight while others could not keep watching until the final bell.

  • Float like a butterfly......

Such is the gulf in class between the two fighters, Mayweather was able to dodge Chalmers' punches like he was Neo in The Matrix.

He seemed to enjoy that, with his opponent struggling at times to even lay a glove on him.

When he did, it wound the 'money-man' up and he let loose on Chalmers but always in a controlled manner.

At the end of the fight, Mayweather asked the UK if they want to him to come back, I think we will be seeing him again soon.

  • Mayweather showboats for fun

With the talent of Floyd Mayweather still there for all to see, he often found it easy to taunt his opponent.

The pinnacle of this had to be when spun on the spot, towards the end of the round, in some sort of Michael Jackson tribute.

His timing was certainly still there, in punching and dancing.

  • Chalmers with one to remember

As soon as the eighth round ended, you could tell how much it meant to him to be involved in this fight tonight.

It felt like a win for the Geordie Shore star to go the distance with the former champion.

Chalmers celebrated his big night with 'one to tell the grandkids'.

Meanwhile Mayweather looks on a little bemused.

  • Floyd finally has to wear one

It was rare in this fight to see Mayweather catch many shots from Chalmers as dodged them at will.

On the very occasion, he did manage to land a jab but that just seemed to annoy Floyd into firing off some combos to send a message to his opponent.

When not showboating, Mayweather knew he could just hit Aaron Chalmers whenever he wanted.

  • Form is temporary, class is permanent

When fighting this calibre of fighter, Floyd Mayweather is still going to look a different level.

Able to duck, weave and dodge their punches at will.

In the 7th round, Floyd went to throw a punch and as he did Chalmers turned away with no guard.

He was able to stop the punch mid-air, obviously worried with the damage he would do with it as his opponent had turned away.

When he did land, you could see Aaron Chalmers was feeling these punches.

'Something to tell the grandkids' he tells the announcer.

  • Floyd Mayweather vs Aaron Chalmers (Round 8)

Mayweather holds back, looks to invite Chalmers to have a go at him.

You can see he is just toying with the Geordie Shore star.

Floyd is still dancing around the ring, landing punches at will.

As the fight ends, Mayweather has barely broke a sweat.

  • Floyd Mayweather vs Aaron Chalmers (Round 7)

Chalmers starts to let his hands go a bit more.

Even when he lands, Mayweather is blocking them with his gloves and arms.

Floyd keeps on landing that jab, wearing him down.

  • Floyd Mayweather vs Aaron Chalmers (Round 6)

Mayweather toys with Chalmers some more.

Talking to him the whole time 'hit my when you want to' Floyd taunts him.

Mayweather is just throwing jabs in this one.

He goes to throw a big punch but sees Chalmers turn away slightly with his guard down and Floyd stops his punch mid-air.

Think he felt he may hurt him with that one.

Seems they have decided to have more than the six rounds also.
