She first made a formal complaint about McGregor, 34, to cops in Dublin after returning to Ireland.

The investigation into the alleged incident, which is claimed to have happened on McGregor's superyacht in Ibiza in July 2022, has been reopened in Spain at the request of her lawyers.

It has since emerged that Irish cops are probing an arson attack on her car this month, reports

A spokesman for the Irish police said: "Gardai are investigating a suspected criminal damage by fire incident that occurred at approximately 10pm on Thursday, January 19, 2023 at a residential premises in Drimnagh, Dublin 12.

"No injuries were reported during the course of this incident.

"No arrests have been made at this stage. Investigations are ongoing."

The fire has not been linked to McGregor.

Ms Murphy's mum told the MailOnline: "That [the fire] was very scary. I was at my daughter's at the time and someone tried to set her car on fire.

"We had to call the police and they came out to deal with it and what with the case it's made her very jumpy."

Cops shelved the original investigation into the alleged attack as the victim did not make a full statement on the island of Formentera.

The apparent clash happened the morning after UFC champion McGregor held a party for his 34th birthday last July.

Ms Murphy told Irish police McGregor suddenly became violent, kicking and punching her before threatening to drown her - claims the sportsman denies.

According to , said: "It was as if he was possessed. I knew I had to leave the boat because I thought he was going to kill me.

“We have common friends and I have met him on a number of occasions. I can’t believe what he did to me.

"He’s a criminal. I think he would have killed me if I hadn’t left the yacht.”

Ms Murphy said she then jumped into the water to escape and was rescued by a passing boat.

In her statement to the Irish police, she attributed her initial unwillingness to press charges in Spain to a state of shock, according to reports.

She was wearing just her bikini when she went into the water and had no money or phone and just wanted to get back to her hotel as soon as possible.

Ms Murphy reportedly told the Irish police: "They left me stranded.

“They wouldn’t even abandon a dog the way they did me.”

A court in Ibiza has confirmed it has opened an investigation into the incident, which took place off the island of Formentera.

Guardia Civil initially “ruled out that the perpetrator was McGregor himself or that he was even involved in the incident” when allegations .

The UFC fighter has not yet been charged with any crime, as is normal in Spain.

McGregor hosted the parties on board his two yachts - a £2.7million Lamborghini Tecnomar 63 and £3million triple-deck 150ft Prestige 750 which boasts an inflatable water slide and a climbing wall.

The former UFC champ was joined for his birthday celebrations by a group of friends.

He treated guests to cocktails made using his Proper 12 whiskey, while a huge cake with his name on it was also displayed.

The alleged victim has been described in Ibiza press reports as someone who knew McGregor before he was famous because they grew up in the same neighbourhood.

She is understood to have received an invite to party on board McGregor’s yacht after meeting him at a beach club earlier the same night where she had gone with a Hungarian couple.

McGregor's spokesman Karen Kessler said: "Over six months ago an incident was alleged and after a police review, the matter was not pursued.

“Mr McGregor is steadfast in his denial of all the accusations made by a guest on his boat.”

It comes as McGregor on Friday revealed how he

He claims he had been riding his bike when he was hit by a car from behind.
