Newcastle COMPLETE £45m Anthony Gordon transfer as Everton confirm move with blunt 64-word statement
ANTHONY GORDON'S transfer to Newcastle is complete as Everton confirmed it with a blunt 64-word statement.
On Sunday afternoon, Newcastle announced the £45million move for the wantaway winger.
And Gordon told NUFC TV: "Since I heard of the interest, I was always convinced Newcastle were for me.
"I think the fan base and the city really suits me as a person, the way the team are playing under the gaffer at the minute really suits me, and the club just look like they're heading in the right direction.
"I feel like it's a really big step. People haven't seen what I'm capable of yet. I think under the gaffer, and the way the club's going, I can really excel here."
Manager Eddie Howe added: "I'm delighted to sign Anthony - he's a top, top talent.

"Gordon joined the Club’s Academy at the age of 11 and made his senior debut as a 16-year-old in a Europa League tie in December 2017.
"He went on to make 78 First-Team appearances, scoring seven goals."
Leaked photos earlier in the day showed Gordon signing his Magpies contract and leaving St James' Park.
The 21-year-old was also pictured meeting fans during a shopping trip to the MetroCentre in Gateshead.
Gordon has struggled for form this season as Everton's struggles continue to grow.
He scored three goals earlier in the campaign before refusing to turn up to training in recent days in order to force a move out of his boyhood club.
The Toffees sit firmly in the relegation zone and are staring down the barrel of losing their Premier League status for the first time ever.
Indeed, should they be unable to turn their fortunes around, they will be relegated for just the third time in the club's prestigious history and the first time since 1950-51.
