Shamed rugby star Joe Westerman texts wife Lauren to apologise in desperate bid to get back together after sex act video
SHAMED rugby star Joe Westerman has been texting his wife Lauren to apologise in a desperate bid to get back together.
Westerman was filmed performing a sex act on a pal's missus down a darkened alleyway.
The Castleford Tigers loose forward, 33, has since apologised through the Super League club and vowed to "work on my decision-making around alcohol".
Wife and mum-of-three Lauren, 33, was left "numb” over the incident and told friends that her husband has been begging for forgiveness.
She said: "I never imagined this would ever happen.
"He's text me a few times to say how sorry he is but he knows that there's no coming back from what he's done.
"I now have to think about my children and begin rebuilding our future together. It's daunting, but he's got no one to blame but himself."
Lauren remained at the family home in Castleford, West Yorks., on Monday and told pals that “the marriage is over”.
She said: "There's no way you can come back after something so horrific.
"It is one trillion per cent finished.

It later went viral on .
Lauren wrote: "Can I make this VERY clear that this is NOT me!!!!!!"
She added: "And we have three children, one of whom is almost 15, and she doesn’t need to see things like this all over social media!"
In a statement issued through the club, the disgraced player said: "Firstly, I would like to take this opportunity to wholeheartedly apologise to my family and friends for my actions.
"I'd also like to apologise to the supporters, sponsors, staff, and directors of Castleford Tigers as well as my teammates.
