SCOTT TWINE embarrassed his own team's fans with his theatrics during last night's Millwall vs Burnley clash.

Twine, 23, started for Vincent Kompany's Championship leaders as they travelled to The Den.

The Clarets have taken the second tier by storm for all the right reasons this term, sitting 12 points clear at the top of the table and playing some brilliant football.

But while they've had much to cheer this year, even Burnley fans weren't impressed by Twine's rolls.

The creative midfielder was tackled strongly by Lions defender Danny McNamara.

Having won the ball fairly, McNamara caught Twine's standing leg with his follow through.

The former MK Dons ace was understandably sent sprawling to the turf.

But then his theatrics began.

In antics that would have been more befitting of London's West End, rather than East, Twine began frantically waving his arms.

He then rolled over while bizarrely shuffling his feet.

A bewildered looking McNamara, 24, then threw his hands out in disgust as Twine performed three more rolls.

One unimpressed fan joked: "Doesn’t he know the BAFTAs we’re last Sunday."

A second similarly quipped: "And the Oscar goes to…………."

Another blasted: "That's pathetic…!"

While a Clarets fan admitted: "I’m embarrassed about that one. But mainly when Barnes dropped Maatsen on the pitch to time waste. Hate it when other teams do it."

Another moaned: "Not his proudest moment I feared he done his ACL in. This ain’t Burnley at all, we hate stuff like this."

And a further supporter echoed: "Feels even worse when it’s a player on your team."

Burnley finally took the lead after numerous chances had gone begging, when Ashley Barnes converted beyond George Long in the 51st minute.

Play-off hopefuls Millwall managed to equalise late on, however, Tom Bradshaw pouncing on a loose ball to tuck Gary Rowett's side level.
