Paul Pogba’s iconic dab celebration now used as maths problem in French schools

PAUL Pogba's famous dab celebration is being used in French schools to teach students maths.

The distinctive pose made famous by the Manchester United star forms two right-angled triangles - which formed the basis for an exam question asking if Pogba's celebration is the perfect dab.

Exercise 5 of the test tweeted by a French student reads: "Cristiano Ronaldo is jealous of the dab of Paul Pogba, he then tries to demonstrate that he is perfect.

"According to the book 'the Universal Declaration of the Rights of the Dab (DUDDDD)', a dab is perfect if and only if the triangles represented in the figure below are right-angles.

"Is Paul Pogba's dab perfect?"

An accompanying graphic shows Pogba performing the dab, with a triangle drawn out over each of the 23-year-old French international's arms.

Students are asked to calculate whether the squared length of each triangle’s longest side is equal to the length of each triangle’s other two sides when they are squared and then added together.

Pogba himself spotted the exam on social media and Tweeted: "The dab is useful, am I approved? #maths" - but he sadly has not solved the problem.

First adopted by NFL players in the US, the dance move which originates from the Atlanta hip-hop scene involves the dancer dropping the head while raising the left arm and the right elbow.

Pogba made it famous among footballers while at previous club Juventus last season in Serie A, and other stars have followed suit, such as United team-mate Jesse Lingard.
